31 Mar Committee Of Management Meeting Report
Today the Committee of Management met and discussed the following key issues.
The club has registered for the Governments Job Keeper allowance for our eligible employees. This means we hopefully will be able to retain all staff whilst still maintaining the course. If members need to contact the office, phone messages and emails will be checked daily.
The C.O.M. is working through the financial challenges we face both as a Club and industry and as such, no decisions have been made regarding memberships yet. However we expect to be in a better position to make a decision on how the Club will move forward on this issue, before the next Direct Debit run in mid April.
Committee member Elliot Gould has applied for a grant called the Business Support Fund which is a grant of up to $10,000 for small businesses and not-for-profits like us.
The Treasurer Vince Occhipinti is also investigating another of the Governments stimulus measures – P.A.Y.G credits for the club.
The committee is currently pursuing measures to tighten security of the Course and Club.
Peter has asked me to urge all members to visit the Sponsors section of website. Our Sponsors, a lot of them long-term, really need our help! . This is the time to give back to the local companies and small businesses who have so generously been contributing to our Club for years. Some are still trading, but most will need our support in the future, once they’ve got back on their feet and re-opened If members go the the Club Info drop-down box they will find Partnerships & Sponsors. Once there click on the sponsors logo it will take you straight to their website.
Finally on behalf of the Committee of Management, I would like to give my sincere thanks to all members who have displayed patience and willingness to work with the changes implemented by the club over the past few weeks. My thanks also to Craig Bonney, Jack Redford and the all the Pro Shop staff, Colin Williams the Club Captain, David Warnaar and his Ground Staff and Peter in the office who have all worked tirelessly throughout this difficult and challenging time.I’m sure there are plenty of others including volunteers that I’ve missed.
We will endeavor to keep members updated as new information comes to hand.
