Marjorie Robinson Bowl

Warrnambool’s annual hallmark 2 day women’s event is hosted in honour of Marjorie Robinson, a former Women’s Captain, President, Secretary and Life Member of the Warrnambool Golf Club. A beloved member of the club, Marjorie competed at Pennant and Country Championship level in the 1920s, was Club Champion in 1943 and 1949 and was widely respected for her knowledge of rules and etiquette, her readiness to help beginners, her fairness and her approachable manner.

Day 1: Monday 15 February 2021

Competition: 4BBB Stableford

Details: Teams of two (2)

  • Two Divisions
  • Teams do not have to be from the same club

Entry fee: $60 per team

Day 2: Tuesday 16 February 2021

Competition: Marjorie Robinson Bowl Stableford

Details: Teams of four (4)

  • Teams to consist of players from the same club – no handicap limit
  • All scores to count for bowl
  • Individual winners (Divisions 1, 2 & 3)

Entry fee: $120 per team

Event information

Each registered player will receive:   

  • Warrnambool welcome pack
  • Lunch pack
  • Complimentary refreshment stations on course

Registration: As per our CovidSafe Tournament Plan, tee times will be on a rolling start, commencing at 9:00am. Players are to arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled tee time.

Presentation: As per our CovidSafe Tournament Plan, presentations will be conducted virtually, with prizes being distributed to winners via post.

Terms & conditions

  • Entries close on Friday, 9 February 2021 (or when field capacity is reached)
  • Entries will only be accepted once payment of entry fee has been received.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after Friday, 9 February 2021.
  • The competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf and any Local Rules in force on the day of play. If a dispute arises at any point, it shall be decided by the Match Committee in charge of the Competition, whose decision shall be final.
  • The Match Committee will determine any variation in the conditions should they deem it necessary.
  • In the event of a tie in the Marjorie Robinson Bowl, a countback will be applied.
  • The use of distance measuring devices is permitted, but is restricted to devices that measure distance only.
