Dear Members, I hope everybody is staying safe and well leading into Easter. Unfortunately we aren't much clearer on the future of golf in Victoria since our last email. We have been in constant communications with Chris Crabbe our Golf Victoria representative regarding Golf Australia and the Victorian government's directives. As Members are probably aware, nothing has changed at this stage, as it is still a week by week proposition. However all hasn't been lost in this time. Members may have seen on Facebook that...

Tuesday 31/03/2020 Dear Members, Today the Committee of Management met and discussed the following key issues. Employees The club has registered for the Governments Job Keeper allowance for our eligible employees. This means we hopefully will be able to retain all staff whilst still maintaining the course. Dear Members, On behalf of myself and the C.O.M, I would like thank all members, not only for all the well wishes the Club has received, but on how well everyone has embraced our new safety protocols during these unusual times. Today we held another specially called Committee of Management meeting. We discussed at length how we could be fiscally responsible to our members, whilst still caring for our staff and the course. We no longer have revenue from green fees or the bar, with competition fees being our only source...

(full correspondence at bottom of page) Although this will mean changes to all competitions moving forward. The main one being, to comply with the no congregating rule, all competitions will be one tee starts. Another change on top of the ones already made are...

Unfortunately we haven’t heard from either Golf Australia or the Government today. We understand a meeting between the Premier and Golf Victoria is currently underway. Therefore the Club isn’t prepared to sanction any club competitions from today until we are cleared to do so. This means unfortunately tomorrows Veterans competition has been cancelled. Hopefully we will have some more direction prior to the Ladies Club Championship final round on Wednesday. So ladies at this stage you should treat Wednesday as going ahead, until...
